Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time after receiving your first edition. The easiest way is our "Cancel contracts here" button, which you can use without logging in. You can also email us at hello@symbolsandthoughts.com.

If you cancel before your next billing date (the 28th of each month), you will not be charged for any further editions. Editions already paid for and shipped will not be refunded, except where you exercise your right of withdrawal (see below).

Your 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription or purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. For subscriptions, the period begins on the day you receive your first edition. For one-time purchases of past editions, it begins on the day you receive the item.

To withdraw, use our "Withdraw from contract here" button, email us at hello@symbolsandthoughts.com, or send us any other clear statement before the 14-day period ends.

After withdrawing, please send the item back to us within 14 days to the return address we provide. You bear the cost of returning the item.

If the item shows signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the loss in value.

Refunds
If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you, including the original standard shipping costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item back or you have provided proof that you have sent it, whichever is earlier. Refunds are made to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.

Damaged Items
Please inspect your letter upon arrival. If it arrives damaged or defective, email us at hello@symbolsandthoughts.com, ideally with a photo, and we will send you a replacement. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

Lost or Delayed Letters
Within Germany, your letter is sent by standard post and usually arrives within 1–3 business days. Shipments to Switzerland usually arrive within 4–8 business days.

If your letter hasn't arrived within 10 business days of dispatch (Germany) or 20 business days of dispatch (Switzerland), please email us at hello@symbolsandthoughts.com with your name and order number, and we will send you a replacement at no extra cost.

Exchanges
Because each edition is a limited edition produced specifically for that month's subscribers, we cannot exchange editions for a different design. This does not affect your right of withdrawal or your statutory rights.
