Where We Ship
We currently ship to Germany and Switzerland. At this time we are unable to ship to other countries.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is included in the price of your subscription. The prices for Germany and Switzerland are shown at checkout. For one-time purchases of past editions, shipping costs are shown at checkout before you place your order.
When Your Letter Is Sent
Subscriptions are billed on the 28th of each month. Each monthly edition is hand-finished and dispatched in the first week of the following month. You'll receive an email once your letter is on its way.
If you subscribe after the 28th, your first edition will be the one sent in [the month after next]. One-time purchases of past editions are dispatched within [5] business days of your order.
Delivery Times
Within Germany, your letter is sent by standard post with Deutsche Post. Shipments to Switzerland are sent via Deutsche Post's international small-goods service with an electronic customs declaration. Shipments are not tracked. Estimated delivery times after dispatch:
- Germany: 1–3 business days
- Switzerland: 4–8 business days
These are estimates, and delays can occasionally occur, especially around holidays.
Lost or Delayed Letters
If your letter hasn't arrived within 10 business days of dispatch (Germany) or 20 business days (Switzerland), please email us at hello@symbolsandthoughts.com with your name and order number and we'll send a replacement at no extra cost. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.
Your Shipping Address
Please make sure your shipping address is complete and correct. To change your address, update it in your account or email us before the 28th, so it applies to the next edition. If a letter is returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we'll resend it [free of charge] once you've confirmed the correct address.
Customs and Import Charges
Shipments to Switzerland include an electronic customs declaration. Swiss authorities may charge import duties or fees, which are not included in our prices and are the responsibility of the recipient. For small shipments like ours, such charges are rare, but we cannot rule them out.
